Just in case you need a reason to show up at The Old Bank Workshop, we’ll be planning several evenings a year at the workshop. Come by, hang out, chat with friends, make a new one, and take a look at the rocks. There might even be a special promotion happening, and there’s a very good chance of finding drinks and munchies.

“Show me how to find arrowheads!” “Show me how to find the rocks that come out of the tumbler looking beautiful!” Honestly, there is no formula for this. After years of looking, researching, learning, hunting and tumbling, Wayne has a good idea about where to search and what to look for. If you’d like to glean some tips and tricks for what to pick up and what to leave behind. If nothing else, you’ll hear some fun stories and get a walk on the prairie somewhere in Yuma, Kit Carson or Washington Counties in Colorado.
The cost for the expedition is based on the amount of people and the time spent with Wayne. Call or fill out the contact form to make a plan with him.
The weather on the plains of Eastern Colorado can be unpredictable, especially where wind and temperature are concerned, but we’re generally willing to head out if you are.
Learn Basic Leather-craft Skills
Learn about the fundamental techniques, the types of leather available, how to prep the leather, common leather projects, the types of tools involved, and the basics of tooling, carving, dyeing and staining the leather.
The cost of this class will be based on how much you are interested in learning. There will be an hourly charge of $20/hour as well as a fee for supplies provided by the workshop.
